Contests Are for Adults Too! 🎉💪

at least they are at Jump Into Shape

Teachers and parents love using contests to encourage kids to study, behave, and complete their homework.

At Jump Into Shape, I’ve taken that same approach… but for adults! 🏆 You might think that grown-ups understand the importance of exercise and will naturally make time for it. So why should I spend money on prizes?

Answer: FOMO.

Let’s be real—adults love seeing their names on the leaderboard and milestones section (another motivation tool we use). And when the wheel of names spins for one of our prizes—whether it’s a book 📖, cutting board 🔪, cash 💰, exercise equipment 🏋️‍♂️, or another cool reward—they want in.

Of course, adults know that exercising gives them more energy, reduces stress, and helps them accomplish more. But life gets busy. Work, family, and responsibilities pile up, and exercise gets pushed aside. Even though they logically understand that just 15 minutes of movement can shift their whole day, that little voice inside still whispers, Eh, maybe later.

And that’s where we come in. 👏

That email, text, or voice message from Jump Into Shape (or from me personally) saying, “Hey, you better qualify for this contest!” suddenly flips the switch. And just like that, they show up for a class.

🔥 What about you? Does your exercise program offer any contests to keep you motivated? Let me know in the comments!
